Hamas quietly cuts death toll in Gaza, latest Israeli attack

Hamas modified the casualties in the Gaza War, removed hundreds of names from its official list of war deaths and revealed that 72% of the people killed were men aged 13 to 55, a crowd consisting of mainly combatants. The latest figures contradict Hamas’ previous claim that most casualties are women and children.

Salo Aizenberg, a nonprofit honest report from the United States, found the change through a detailed analysis of the Hamas casualties list. The survey shows that after being listed in 2024, 3,400 names, including 1,080 children, were deleted in the March 2025 report.

Eisenberg noted that the original report published by the Hamas-controlled Ministry of Health of Gaza was widely cited by major international organizations, including the United Nations and the International Criminal Court (ICC). “These' deaths never happened. The numbers are forged,” he wrote.

The United Nations did not respond to Fox News’ digital request, asking the world agencies whether they regret spreading the numbers based on revised numbers.

A spokesperson for the Office of the Prosecutor's Office (ICC) of the International Criminal Court, which is investigating Israeli war crimes, told Fox News Digital Numbers, “We cannot comment on matters related to the ongoing investigation. This approach is critical to protecting the integrity of the investigation and ensuring the safety of the victims and the safety and safety of those who interact with each other.”

David Adesnik, vice president of research at the Defense Foundation, has been tracking the numbers and came to similar conclusions. According to his analysis, 72% of the death toll belong to the 13 to 55 male combat age group.

“Even at 13, male deaths are significantly higher than males, and the difference increases with age,” Adesnick told Fox News numbers. “If you calculate from 13 to 59, there are over 15,000 people over 15,000.

His analysis showed a staggering gender imbalance: At the age of 13, there were 588 male casualties, while 385 females were male casualties. By the age of 19, the gap widened to 800 men vs 285 women. This trend has continued throughout the age range, indicating that male combatant deaths are disproportionate.

Adesnik also highlights the issue of how death is recorded. “Over time, a large number of names disappeared from the list. About 2,000 names were removed and new names were added,” he said.

Report reveals Hamas terror crimes against families during the October 7 massacre: “kinocide”

He explained that Hamas kept two lists: one was confirmed by the hospital and the other was reported by family members through online form – usually in cases where the body could not be retrieved. “Over time, officials realized that many household reports were inaccurate or unverified, and began quietly deleting it from the count – replacing one set with another set of data to mask its original operation,” Adesnick said.

Zaher Al Wahidi, head of the Statistical Team of the Gaza Ministry of Health Statistics Group, told Sky News that the names submitted through the form have been deleted as a precautionary measure, awaiting a judicial investigation of everyone. “We realize that a lot of people [submitted via the form] Vahidi said.

Adesnik mentioned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's previous comments on casualties in the Gaza war. “He said there were 30,000 deaths – 14,000 fighters, 16,000 civilians – and Hamas claims 70% are women and children. The data give us a clearer understanding of the situation of population collapse and support the IDF's claim that it is targeted at combatants.”

The broader debate on the accuracy of casualties has intensified after the Israeli strike on March 23 killed 15 humanitarian workers. The incident caused anger. However, the Israeli military said “aid personnel were mistakenly identified as terrorists.”

According to preliminary findings, the event occurred during a secret IDF operation. About two hours ago, Israeli troops exchanged fire with terrorists in the same area. Later, an IDF official told Fox News Digital that the unit opened fire on suspicious vehicles. The IDF is still investigating the incident.

In related developments, the IDF announced this week that the senior Hamas terror leader Mohammed Saleh Mohammed Al-Bardawil was killed in targeted operations. Despite being called a reporter in Gaza, Bardawil has been involved in producing promotional videos, including footage of Israeli hostages held by Hamas, the IDF said.

“The IDF and ISA will continue to target and demolish Hamas' infrastructure to mitigate the threat posed to Israeli civilians,” the military said. It stressed in another statement: “The IDF has gone to great lengths to estimate and consider potential civilian collateral damage. The IDF has never, and will never deliberately target children.”
