According to the ministry, current figures do not include victims registered in hospitals in the northern coastal areas of war-torn, and access remains restricted due to ongoing combat.
The Israeli military has not commented on the latest report on the attack in Gaza.
According to Palestinian figures, more than 54,300 people have been killed and more than 124,000 have been injured since the beginning of the Gaza War, which was caused by an unprecedented Hamas-led Israeli attack on Israel on October 7, 2023.
Two weeks ago, the Israeli military launched a new major offensive in Gaza. Dozens of people have died every day over the past few days.
The purpose of Israel's announcement is to destroy the Palestinian Islamic militia Hamas and release the hostages they still hold in the Gaza Strip. Israel's actions have been criticized internationally.
