Harvey Weinstein

Former movie tycoon Mogul Harvey Weinstein was convicted in Manhattan on Wednesday, one of the highest charges in his sex crime retrial but was acquitted and jurors have yet to rule on the third charge.
The split verdict defended his accuser and prosecutor (also against Weinstein) after a landmark case was struggling.
Weinstein’s initial belief five years ago seemed to cement the downfall of one of Hollywood’s most powerful people at a critical moment in the #MeToo movement.
But last year's belief was overturned and the case was sent back to the same Manhattan court.
This time, a majority of female jury found a former studio owner forcibly sentenced a woman to criminally sexual acts in 2006.

The juror will continue to consider allegations that he raped another woman in 2013.
Under New York law, third-degree rape charges are less fines than first-degree criminal sexual offences.
Weinstein, 73, denied sexual assault or rape of anyone.
