Hawaiian Airlines flight evacuated possible bomb threat; arrested person

A man was arrested after Hawaiian Airlines flight was transferred from the apron, while a bomb could threaten the ship when departing from San Diego International Airport.

The San Diego Port Police Department confirmed on X that after Hawaiian Airlines Flight 15 received a call from the captain on the plane, it was reported that there was a possibility of a bomb threat on the plane.

“This flight will depart from San Diego International Airport to Honolulu, Hawaii, just left the flight from the jet lane, and when the flight attendant notified the flight captain, the passenger reported that there might be a bomb on the ship.”

“Arrested,” said in an email, Port San Diego spokesman Brianne Mundy Page, in a port of information on the suspect or possible expenses, but Page said more details will be released later.

The Maritime Tactical Team, K-9 Team and Joint Terrorism Task Force, as well as the San Diego Fire Department and the FBI all responded to the search for the aircraft and its contents.

All 293 people on the plane were escorted from the plane and taken to a safe area, while various law enforcement agencies searched the plane.

Navy sailor Isai Solorzano was flying and told Fox 5 Kusi everything he witnessed, explaining the law enforcement officers boarded the plane and asking some of the owners of specific containers.

“One man stood up, () they immediately told him to turn around and put him in handcuffs,” Soresano said. “They took him away.”

Police confirmed that nothing suspicious was found on the plane.

San Diego Airport posted on X, saying the airport has no delays in investigations.
