She joins the organization from Aegis Ventures, which formed Ascertain in 2022 in partnership with Northwell Holdings, a for-profit subsidiary of Northwell Health. At Aegis, O'Neill serves as chief strategic partnerships officer.

children's hospital association Hired John Mikesic as new chief supply chain officer. He has spent the past five years working at the University of Missouri Health Care Center as executive director of supply chain. Prior to this, he served as Regional Director for Premier.

shared mental health Appointed Michael Browning as its next chief financial officer. He will succeed Daniel Morissette, who will retire at the end of this year. Browning currently serves as OhioHealth's chief financial officer. He has also held this role at Promedica, WakeMed Health & Hospitals and Parkview Health.

Concert Artificial IntelligenceA company that provides artificial intelligence to life sciences companies welcomes Shaalan Beg as its chief medical officer. He has worked at UT Southwestern Medical Center as an oncologist and professor for the past 14 years.

Daochuang Artificial IntelligenceThe company, which uses artificial intelligence to reduce patient wait times, hired Byron Crowe as chief medical officer. Crowe joins the startup from Solera Health, where he held the same position.

Eli Lilly and Company Appointed Peter Marks as senior vice president of molecular discovery and head of infectious diseases. He is the former director of the FDA's Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research. He joined the FDA in 2012 and left earlier this year when HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. told him he needed to resign or be fired.

HLM Venture Partners Welcome Ashley Tyrner-Dolce as an operating partner. She is the founder and former CEO of FarmboxRx, which was acquired by social health platform Pyx Health in June for $47.5 million.

behavioral health company Lucette Sean Martin appointed as new chief medical officer. He joins the company from insurance company Oscar Health, where he served as chief medical officer.

Piedmont Healthcare Atlanta named Mike Angelakos as its new CIO. He came to Piedmont via Geisinger, where he worked for four years and served as chief information officer. Prior to that, he spent 17 years at Trinity Health, most recently as vice president of service optimization.

A value-based kidney care company strive to be healthy Hired Michele Paige as new chief growth officer. In the past, she has held executive positions at Elevance Health, Cigna and Evernorth.

new york presbyterian church Chief Executive Officer Steven Corwin announced he will resign on Jan. 22 after 14 years in the role and more than 20 years with the health system. His successor will be NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital chief operating officer Brian Donley, who joins the organization in 2023.

Cliff Devany, CEO, Ohio Health System Health Encyclopediasaid he would resign at the end of this year. Earlier this month, General Catalyst completed its acquisition of Summa. Daryl Tol, president of General Catalyst Health Security Transformation, will take over as Summa's interim CEO in the new year while the health system completes an executive search.

Roche subsidiaries Genentech The San Francisco headquarters will lay off 118 employees, marking the third round of layoffs at the headquarters this year. The company laid off 143 employees in May and 87 employees in July.

jefferson health Philadelphia said it would lay off 1% of its workforce, or about 650 people. Health systems cited financial headwinds as the reason for layoffs.

Kaiser Permanente California will lay off 216 employees, most of whom work in IT and food services. This is the fifth time this year that Kaiser has had a round of layoffs affecting 35 or more employees.

Headquartered in Oregon peace and health There will be 2.5% layoffs, which means the layoffs will affect about 400 employees. This is the second round of large-scale layoffs this year – the health system cut 1% of its workforce in May.
