Honda's global output fell 12% in April
Japanese automaker Honda Motor reported a 12% decline in global production to 279,094 units in April 2025, down 16% to 47,806 units from 316,681 units in the same month last year, while overseas production fell 11% to 231,288 units.
In the first four months of 2025, the company produced a total of 1,162,660 vehicles worldwide, down nearly 10% from 1,289,602 units a year ago, with domestic output falling more than 4% to 215,989 units, while overseas production fell 11% to 946,671 units.
Vehicle production in Asia outside Japan fell 25% annually to 363,443 units, a 30% reduction in China's production fell to 209,588 units – April production fell 42% to 47,195 units. During this period, North American production fell by less than 1% to 550,067 units, down nearly 4% U.S. production fell to 334,547 units.
