An illegal alien on Honduras' “Top Ten Most Wanted” list was arrested in New York after escaping his country's 44-year prison sentence.

Olivin Martinez Coto was arrested on Long Island on Tuesday and reportedly in hiding, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) said.

Coto was sentenced to aggravate females in Honduras, which was when someone killed a woman because she was a woman. He was also convicted of attempted murder and forced house invasion.

“We have deported him twice and he has never entered the country legally,” Ice wrote in a social media post. “He has no respect for our country's immigration laws and is not satisfied with being caught.”

Ice added that it didn't know Coto entered the United States for the third time and accused him of infiltrating.

“We only know that this is sometime after the second dismissal on February 27, 2019,” Ice wrote. “We will continue to look for, arrest and deport international fugitives. Let's keep records. The United States is not a safe haven for criminal foreigners.”

When President Donald Trump returned to the White House in January, he immediately began acting against illegal foreigners in the United States, resulting in a sharp decline in illegal entries and daily experiences.

White House border Tsar Tom Homan announced this week that concerns on the southern border in June were very low, and no one was released to the United States after being detained.

Homan posted to X on Tuesday, touting the Trump Effect.

The report shows a 15% drop since March, with a sharp drop in Joe Biden's presidency. In fact, in December 2023, there were an average of 11,000 encounters per day.

The Border Patrol has only 8,039 concerns nationwide, which is lower than the March record. According to the Department of Homeland Security, there were more than 11,000 people worried in the first three days of June 2024, with the southern border alone having more than 7,000 concerns in the first two days of the month.

Homan said June's encounters in Biden's days were less than half of the day.

“In addition, none of them were released to the United States zero. President Trump created the safest border in national history, and the data proved that,” Homan said. “We have never seen such a low number. Forever. God bless the men and women of the U.S. Border Patrol, God bless the men and women on the ice. Internal arrests and consequences help disperse illegal immigrants. The Trump effect wins the United States.”

Cameron Arcand, Peter Doocy and Bill Melugin of Fox News contributed to the report.
