Huffpost brings Trump's fired workers to White House reporters' dinner

HuffPost will attend the White House Communications Association’s annual dinner in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, amid ongoing government attacks on the federal workforce and the press, both without precedent in the United States.
Trump attempted to use the power of the country to intervene in CBS news – seemingly successful. The White House blocked offenders in the Gulf of Mexico “Gulf of Mexico”. College students are worried about being kicked out of the United States for their columns. Famous conservatives see it as the idea of transgender and expelling journalists.
HuffPost has also become a target. Weeks after the Trump administration stopped SvDáte, the Hofton Post’s White House correspondent from a scheduled news pool, a precedent for decades after raising Trump’s anger. After ongoing outcry, access to HuffPost was obtained next month.
To highlight the Trump administration’s scorched earth attack on important administration functions and its workers, HuffPost is bringing guests to this year’s dinner, who have experienced first-hand the crisis:
- Hampton Dellinger is a federal regulator responsible for protecting whistleblowers
- Rohit Chopra
- USIA International Development employee Andrew Bivins was fired by the government as part of Doge's layoffs
Free media is necessary, if not enough, to withstand the threat of authoritarianism. This weekend, we pay tribute to countless journalists who inform Americans and reveal the truths that some would rather hide. We appreciate your help in helping sustain us every day – by reading our coverage, sharing with people in your life and supporting us directly, by reading our coverage.
