Indonesia is willing to avoid Palestinians from Gaza

JAKARTA, Indonesia (AP) – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto said on Wednesday that his country will provide temporary shelter for Palestinians affected by the Israeli-Hamas war in Gaza.

“We are ready to evacuate those injured or injured, and if they want to evacuate Indonesia, the orphans are ready to evacuate, and we are ready to send planes to transport the planes,” Subianto said.

He said Indonesia is preparing to evacuate the first victims of about 1,000 victims, who will remain in the country until they fully recover from their injuries, and Gaza is safe.

Subianto speaks ahead of the flight to Abu Dhabi, the first stop on a weekly tour of the Middle East, which also includes in Türkiye, Egypt, Qatar and Jordan.

He added that other countries called on Indonesia to increase its role in seeking the Gaza conflict. The world's most populous Muslim majority has long been a staunch supporter of the Palestinians.

“It's complicated; it's not easy, but I think it encourages the Indonesian government to play a more active role,” Subianto said.
