Israel has restored bodies of missing soldiers since the 1982 war

The remains of Israeli soldiers who have been missing since the 1982 Lebanon war were announced on Sunday after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, after a joint operation between Israeli intelligence agency Mossad and the Army.

Soldier Zvi Feldman was several who died in a battle near Sultan Yacoub, Lebanon, and has been missing since then. Israeli troops announced that Feldman's body was found in the center of Syria and brought to Israel.

The body of the second soldier who was also killed at that time was handed over to him six years ago. At that time, Russia helped Israel seek the remains of soldiers.

According to Russian President Vladimir Putin, the body was found by Russian special forces in an operation in Syria. Israel later released two Syrian prisoners, apparently in order to hand over the bodies.
