Kharkov was hit by a drone on the Russian Black Sea coast
Local Governor Veniamin Kondratyev said earlier on Saturday that Ukraine was attacked in the Russian region of the Black Sea after Ukraine reported a massive drone strike against the city of Kharkshiv.
Kondratyev wrote in the telegram that the Russian port city of Novorossiysk was hit hard. A fire broke out at the end of the grain and damaged the apartment in three blocks.
According to Mayor Andrei Kravchenko, five people were injured, including two children.
The Russian Defense Ministry said Ukrainian drones were intercepted in five Russian regions and the Black Sea Peninsula in Crimea, which was annexed in 2014.
Military data cannot be verified in detail, but the numbers can draw conclusions about the scale of the attack.
Ukraine has defended the Russian invasion for more than three years.
It also repeatedly attacks Russian targets as part of its defense campaign. The damage and casualties are far less than the devastating consequences of Russia on Ukrainian territory.
Ukrainian authorities in Kharkov said overnight that nearly 50 people were injured in a massive attack.
Regional Military Chief Executive Oleh Syniehubov said Russia used 11 bombs and 52 drones of various types to attack 12 locations in four separate areas of the city.
According to Syniehubov, residential buildings, civilian infrastructure and cars were damaged. Ukrainian information could not be verified independently at first.
The Ukrainian Air Force wrote in a telegram in the morning that Russia fired two ballistic missiles and used 183 drones. Of them, 77 were shot down.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky responded to the attack in a social media post.
He added: “Although the world is hesitant, almost every night in Ukraine turns into a nightmare that causes losses to life.”
