The king's health has been under the radar since he announced he was diagnosed with undisclosed cancer early last year. Charles, 76, left public duties for about three months but continued to perform state duties, such as reviewing government documents and meeting with the Prime Minister.

Charles' cancer diagnosis put pressure on the British monarch, which was still developing after the late Elizabeth II's reign for 70 years.

When he inherited his mother in September 2022, Charles' mission was to prove that the 1,000-year-old institution of this history is still associated with a modern country whose citizens come from all over the world. But this task takes a lot of time and effort.

Although the duties of the Constitutional Monarch are largely ritualistic, the royal vortex can be exhausted. In addition to occasional parades at the Royal Regalia, meetings with political leaders, dedication ceremonies and events are held to recognize the achievements of British citizens. This combined lasted 161 days of royal activities during Charles' ascension to the throne.

Charles's disease was his daughter Kate, Princess of Wales, who was also diagnosed with cancer. Prince William's wife Kate took six months off before returning to public duties in late September.
