Laguna Beach residents evacuate as fires threaten the house

An evacuation order was issued on Laguna Beach on Monday afternoon, authorities said a brush fire was lit in the city's hilly area.
According to the Laguna Beach Fire Department, the fire, known as the Rancho Fire, began around 2:30 p.m., near Rancho Laguna Road and Morningside Avenue.
As firefighters struggled to deal with the fire, evacuation orders were issued to La Mirada Street, Kateella Street, Summit Drive and Baja Street. A temporary evacuation center is opened in the community at 380 3rd Street and Susi Q Center.
Orange County Supervisor Katrina Foley urged all residents to learn about the evacuation order immediately and go to safety.
A live camera provided by UC San Diego shows a lot of smoke rising up on the hillside near several houses. Two helicopters and one fire plane are working to combat the fire, according to the on-site incident map of the California Forestry and Fire Department.
This is a developing story.
