Man dies after death with Sheriff's deputies in East Los Angeles

A man was shot dead in East Los Angeles during a gunfight with a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputy.
Deputies responded to calls for shooting in the 1500 block of Helen Drive, a non-individual residential area in Los Angeles, near the intersection of Highways 10 and 710.
A man is shooting in the air, according to a sheriff’s report released Friday afternoon, the caller said. He allegedly began shooting at the deputies when they found the suspect.
Deputies attacked the fire and hit the suspect, who fell to the ground and allegedly continued to shoot, according to CBS News Los Angeles.
Deputies were finally able to approach the suspect who was knocked out. Caregivers were called to provide medical assistance and pronounced the man dead on the spot.
His identity has not been released yet and the motive for the shooting is under investigation.
The footage of the news helicopter shows the crime scene, and the corpses on the street are blurred and seem to be filled with blood. More than a dozen yellow evidence marks point to where the bullet shells fell during the gunfight.
No representative was injured and after being shot in the shooting, multiple investigations are now underway.
The Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau and the Interior Bureau are conducting separate investigations. The Office of the Inspector General also arrives on site and will provide independent oversight throughout the process.
