Millie introduces menopause and menopause plans

Women's Health Clinic Millie opened a new product on Tuesday to support women experiencing perimenopause and menopause.
This represents Millie's expansion in maternal health care. The San Francisco-based company provides abortion management, lactation support, mental health counseling, prenatal education, postnatal support groups and gynecological care. It has a collaborative nursing model that includes Obgyns, midwife, nurse practitioner and Doulas, and care is provided through its applications and physical clinics. The company also works with the health system and accepts commercial health plans and Medicaid.
With new perimenopause (the period of menopause, which can begin in the thirties) and menopause products, patients will receive treatments such as hormone therapy, non-hormonal medications, vaginal therapy, and symptom relief lifestyle strategies. The care is provided by OBGYNS, midwife, nurse practitioner and Doulas team.
Millie launches the products with CEO and founder Anu Sharma's own experience. After several rounds of fertility treatments, Sharma gave birth to a daughter at the age of 39. She encountered many challenges during her pregnancy, including gestational hypertension, unplanned caesarean section and almost bleeding. About 36 hours after she was discharged from the hospital, she was studying with pre-camping.
“When my postpartum recovery began to overlap with other hormonal changes, I alone didn’t know if I was postpartum or entered menopause,” she told Medcity News. “After connecting the points in person, I knew other women were done as well.
“Milly was born to change that change,” she continued. “We started with maternal health care and built a model that closed the long-term gap in maternal health and achieved results that exceeded the national benchmark. Having served patients for nearly three years, we now see many people recovering from their second or third pregnancy and seeking a healthy transition to care later.
During menopause, women can still get pregnant even if their menstrual cycle is unpredictable and their hormone levels are declining. Birth is becoming more common among women over the age of 35, which means that there are increasing numbers of women in the “intersection” of perimenopause and postpartum.
“Many women find themselves at the intersection of postpartum and wijang offices, which are often unable to completely solve unique challenges in traditional healthcare settings. Our new services are designed to bridge this gap, validate women's experience and provide solutions that support their expertise,” Sharma said.
Sharma added that to measure the success of its new menopause and menopause products, Millie will track clinical outcomes, patient network promoter scores and actuarial investors payers.
Many other companies also offer perimenopause and menopause support, including Evernow, Midi Health and Maven Clinic.
