My dream of becoming a “slum”

Actually, I would rather get income directly from housing (or my own business) than the stock market (REIT is a decent compromise). So far, I've thought of buying an N-plex and living in one of the units. However, I just found that it is possible to buy mobile homes and/or RV parks.
Prices range from a few hundred k (which is my money) to millions of dollars and I will keep it for a lifetime or at least another ten years.
I could definitely imagine buying an RV-PARK and customizing it into a small house. Most likely on the wheels, but a hybrid park could allow small houses to be built on larger trailers like mobile homes – I haven't seen any of the latter designs.
Also, I think it's possible for the owner to build a small house on site and get a lot of help after we reach the critical mass. Of course I will learn how to build them.
The only thing I don't know is whether the small house owners would prefer to live in someone's backyard or land plot, or do they prefer to be in the park with other small house residents?
I'm also wondering if there is any limit to the 40' diesel pusher? Also, where to find it. Nothing can be done in Portland, Oregon .
I will reserve space for the garden and planting trees and planting trees (rather than pine trees!) on the south side of the house in summer. We have a dog park. I want to know what else can be done.
