Modified Navy Shower

According to Wiki, a normal ten-minute shower uses up to 60 gallons of water. This means the water tank of a boat or RV

Will be exhausted after a shower. So we have to adopt some kind of naval shower.

The thing I don't like about naval showers is that the water has to be turned off again to be soap. I wasn't ready for this self-injected discomfort in the morning. So I designed another system.

I took an empty shampoo bottle filled with water. It is used to make my hair wet before I turn on the water, and then I can use shampoo. Then I turned on the water. Compared to the navy shower, this means I only turn on the water once (full of shampoo bottles do not count

🙂 ). This is because as an office DWEEB, I am not dirty and therefore don't need to have a lot of scrubbing/using soap. Currently, I'm interested in finding out if this really saves us any water. I'm also interested in finding out if DW will prove to be resistance, see it as a challenge, or just ignore my heroism

😛

Shower “fascism” seems to be a popular choice for people to save money, and although not really saving money, it usually ends with a big difference (**). One thing I found is that if you want, you will find a solution that makes it work. If you don't want it, you'll find excuses why it doesn't work. This leaves you with no solutions and failed results, which is a self-fulfilling prophecy.
(**) It saves more than 15,000 gallons of non-renewable groundwater resources every year, but we're decades away from “peak water”, so water is still cheap. Therefore, it makes more sense to focus on the size of the house and the size of the car first.
