More than 500 people arrested in France during the Paris Saint-Germain victory celebrations, officials said.
The Ministry of Home Affairs said on Sunday that more than 500 people were arrested by police during the final celebration of the Champions League in France, two people were reportedly killed and 192 injured.
Wild celebrations broke out on Saturday night in the French capital and Saturday night after Paris St Germain overwhelmed Italian rival Inter Milan to win the Champions League for the first time, despite police later threats to sabotage the party.
Early assessments by the Ministry of Interior As of Sunday morning, 559 people were arrested, including 491 in Paris, resulting in 320 detentions, including 254 in Paris.
On Champs Elysées, the bus shelter was smashed and the projectiles were thrown at Riot Police, who fired tear gas and water cannons, retreating as thousands of supporters landed on the boutique-lined boulevard.
The Interior Ministry reported hundreds of fires on Sunday, including more than 200 cars burning. About 22 security forces and seven firefighters were injured.
