R-Ohio Senator Bernie Moreno hopes President Donald Trump wins the Nobel Peace Prize.
The lawmakers proposed a resolution on Wednesday announcing that the U.S. Senate “calls to the Norwegian Nobel Committee to award President Donald John Trump the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize”, “urges all peace-loving countries to join the call” and expresses its deepest appreciation to President Trump to put Iran and hostile nuclear plans into practice.
President Barack Obama won the award in 2009 less than a year after taking office.

Moreno declared in an article on X: “Obama won Nobel, and then he killed hundreds of civilians without doing anything to stop the war.
R-Ga running for the U.S. Senate. Rep. Earl “Friend” Carter (R-Ga.) also nominated Trump for the award this week.

In a nomination letter, Congressman said he was nominating Trump “to recognize his extraordinary and historic role in promoting armed conflict between Israel and Iran and to prevent the world’s largest national terrorism from obtaining the deadliest weapon on the planet.”

Carter's letter declared: “This moment his leadership embodies the Nobel Peace Prize's ideal of seeking awareness: pursuing peace, preventing war and developing international harmony.”
