Musk and Trump: A couple falls into a chaotic divorce

Tensions between the former Oval Offices bubbling further in public view Thursday as they exchanged in public places and their own social media sites.

The world's most powerful elected politicians and wealthiest people have had a blowout, and the direct cause is the U.S. federal budget.

The president also said a thin threat: Trump wrote that an easy way to prune the federal budget is to cancel the government contract with Musk. “I’m always surprised that Biden didn’t do that!”

Meanwhile, Musk has been using X, a huge online loudspeaker he happens to have, constantly broadcasting and mining in government.

He argued that his business interests made him feel distressed about the legislation. The bill has passed the House but faces uncertain pathways in the Senate, eliminating the EV tax credit.

He asked for more thanks as nearly $400 million of CDN abandoned Trump and his allies to the election.

“Without me, Trump will lose the election,” Musk posted on X on Thursday.
