New armed extremist groups claim responsibility for bombing near railway company headquarters

Athens, Greece (AP) – A new extremist group claimed on Sunday that bombs hit near Greek train offices, Greece's main railway service operators and another bomb plant near the Ministry of Labor in early February.

The explosion on Friday night caused limited damage and no injuries. The perpetrator called two media organizations about 40 minutes before the explosion to pre-warn the explosion.

In a lengthy post on the website on Sunday, the perpetrators who have stereotyped their revolutionary class struggle explained the reasons for their actions, which they said were part of the armed struggle with the state.

The struggle of the revolutionary class dedicated the bomb attack to the “Palestinian people and their heroic resistance” and paid tribute to Kyriakos Xymitiris, who was killed last year when the device he was exploding exploded in the central apartment in Athens.

The explosion also occurred in widespread public anger, with the worst case scenario in Greece when freight trains and a freight train in the opposite direction were killed and dozens of people were injured.

The fatal accident exposed serious flaws in Greece's railway system, including security systems, and sparked massive protests from victims against relatives of the country's Conservative government on the second anniversary.

The struggle of the revolutionary class is a declaration in its manifesto, linking accidents with the formalities of capitalist accidents and with the so-called “murder” of the proletariat.

Greece's political motivations date back to the 1970s, with small-scale bombings conducted by domestic extremist groups usually causing damage, but rarely causing injuries.

Although the most active groups in the 1980s and 1990s had been demolished, new smaller groups emerged. Authorities call them a new generation of domestic extremists.

“Because the blood has not yet dried, they attributed the (train) accident to human error and 'chronic defects of the Greek state', which actually demanded capital against any remaining state-owned infrastructure, more privatization and new attacks, and more capital freedom,” said the author.

Greek trains are operators of passenger and cargo train services and were once a subsidiary of the state-owned Greek railway. It was split in 2017 and sold to Italian Ferrovie Dello Stato Italians. HellenicRailways retains ownership and responsibility for railway infrastructure, including train stations.

Police said they are following clues, including images of one or two people on security cameras and possible cell phone conversations.
