On Friday, Oslo police said Høiby, 28, was cooperative during police inquiry, and the case was investigated in a case involving the number of “double-digit” plaintiffs after months of investigation.
Oslo Police Prosecutor Andreas Kruszewski said the evidence in the case was derived from sources including text messages, witness testimony and police searches.
At a press conference, Kruskiski said the charges included a case of rape involving sexual intercourse and two rape cases, no sexual intercourse, four sexual assault cases and two personal injury cases.
“I can't go into the number of victims further, except confirming that this is a double-digit number,” he said.
Hobby's lawyer said he “takes the allegations absolutely seriously but does not admit any misconduct in most cases, especially in cases related to sexual abuse and violence.”
The palace has not issued a statement about the allegations.

Høiby was arrested in November for alleged rape, and police said in a statement that he was accused of having sex with the victim “relatively unable to resist the act”.
The plaintiff is a woman in her 20s who did not know Hobby until she met him the day of the alleged incident, her lawyer Hege Salomon told CNN. She has nothing to do with him.

At a detention hearing held in the Oslo District Court in November 2024, police prosecutor Kruszewski asked Høiby to be detained for another two weeks after reporting another rape charge.
“The reason for this request is that we have discovered another rape case overnight and this morning. This was determined in the investigation materials,” Oslo police said in a statement at the time.
“The case involves sexual acts, not sexual intercourse, not a woman who cannot resist the act. This means we are now investigating two rape cases involving Marius Borg Høiby.”
The judge in the case ordered remands for a week as a member of the Norwegian royal family.
“Marius faces serious charges and the police and the judiciary will deal with it. … I am a firm believer they will do a good job,” the heir to the throne and Borg Høiby's stepfather told the public broadcaster NRK before the detention order.
“As a family, as parents, we have always been very worried that Marius should be helped.”
Police said Hoby was also charged with one count of “abuse in close relationships” that violated a restraining order and driving without a valid driving license, prior to the arrest.
Police said Høiby was detained on August 4, 2024 after an incident occurred in the apartment of a woman he was in a relationship. Police said they found a knife trapped in one of the walls of a woman's bedroom and he was accused of causing her physical injury.
He apologized in a statement to NRK at the time for the incident that led to the August arrest and accused him of “revitalizing with alcohol and cocaine after the argument” and “several mental illnesses” that he planned to “resume treatment.”
In September 2024, he was arrested for violating the restrictive order. Police said he was in the car with the plaintiff from last August. They clarified that the latest allegation was from a plaintiff in another incident.
Born before the princess’ marriage to the crown prince in 2001, Høiby did not hold a royal title or perform official duties.
