Palestinians say at least 56 people were killed in the fresh Israeli attack.

Palestinian medical staff and civil defense forces said at least 56 people have been killed in Israel's attack on the Gaza Strip since the early hours of Saturday.

The latest wave of attacks on coastal areas in multiple regions has been reportedly hit, with dozens of people injured. This information has not been independently verified.

According to a medical source from the Ministry of Health, 11 people were killed in an air strike near Tuffah, Gaza city, near a former teaching building. The Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that the death toll in the incident was higher and said the child was dead.

Gaza's Hamas-controlled civil defense personnel reported another 45 Israeli attacks.

The Israeli military did not immediately comment.

Gaza's Ministry of Health said earlier that 81 people were killed in the past 24 hours, including Friday's casualties.

The latest figures have caused more than 56,400 deaths since the beginning of the war. The Hamas-controlled Ministry of Health does not distinguish between civilians and combatants, and its numbers cannot be independently verified.

The Gaza war was triggered by Hamas and other Islamic organizations on October 7, 2023.

About 1,200 people were killed, more than 250 were taken hostages and kidnapped to the Gaza Strip.

Since then, the Israeli military has been fighting Hamas in Gaza, which is said to have destroyed the group.

In the process, much of Gaza was razed to the ground, and the humanitarian conditions for the two million residents of the territory were catastrophic.
