Parents think their Pet dogs have caused the child to die in pain while sleeping. The autopsy says otherwise
An autopsy found that a month-old baby died in a New York City apartment and, despite initial suspicion, was not killed by a dog.
Kiyanna Winfield was pronounced dead Tuesday morning in Queensbridge home in Long Island City. Initially, New York Police Department investigators believed the newborn was plagued by a family's 6-week old bulldog and German Shepherd mixed puppy.
The girl's mother reportedly told police that when her parents woke up, she had been sleeping between her parents and found that the dog had nabbed the dog in her face. When the police arrived, Kiyanna fell into a coma, with a large portion of her face.
However, medical examiners ruled that she did not die from a dog's bite.
