Officials said a man was in critical condition after being hit by a Metropolitan Line (Blue) train in south-central Los Angeles on Saturday.
The man, believed to be about 30, attacked on Washington Avenue near Griffith Avenue at 5:41 p.m., according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Margaret Stewart. Train tracks in the area run along busy intersections and come with multiple traffic lanes.
Stewart said the man was taken to the hospital. It is not clear why he is on track.
Stewart said there were no injuries on the train.
