Personal trainer ran 6,000 miles after health battles, breaking the half marathon world record

A man jogging while recovering from hernia broke the world record in just one year through 465 half marathons.
Edward Molineaux is a 34-year-old personal trainer who logged in an astonishing 6,000 miles between April 6, 2023 and April 7, 2024.
According to news agency SWNS, his achievements not only broke his previous record of 282 half marathons in 12 months between 2022 and 2023, but also won the world championship.

“I used to like boxing, but when I was suffering from a hernia it took me about two years after the surgery to restore my body to a difficult situation,” Molineaux said.
“All I can do is run. I can't turn to explosive things anymore.”

The initial recovery method became a routine habit.
The British are now Molineaux, now whose dedication has inspired others.
“All I can do is run.”
He said, “I like to give the feeling of other people, that warrior.”
“Even around people around me, I love to see people getting better and better and better.”

“I'll push myself”
Molineaux said he constructed for a week in 13 half marathons, often stacking multiple races a day.
“To complete the half marathon, I split the week into 13 times, and in the three races Monday and Wednesday, two on Tuesday and Thursday, and then only half marathons for the remaining three days,” he said.

He said he did not avoid it even through blisters, grooves and fatigue.
“Sometimes I don’t want to do that, but you need to do it,” he said. “It was one of the hardest parts for me, but I pushed myself.”
His nutritional strategies are as disciplined as his training.

“I didn't really eat before running – I didn't like to feel full when I went in,” he said. “I really stick to a lot of fruit, mainly bananas. For a half marathon, I run on an empty stomach, maybe just bananas.”
At night, he said he was fueling on the meat and fish.
“It all comes from faith.”
He added: “You don't sew the suture, it won't stay in the stomach, and you can walk at a faster rate.”

“What I'm going to do is finish the half marathon in about two hours, take a five-minute break and go to the next one,” he said.

“You don't know how the body will react or the second storm. It's all from faith.”
SWNS said Molineaux was officially recognized when it received a record world record certificate on June 1.
His journey from injury to a world record holder has made him a symbol of perseverance.
