Police say machete attack killed a man and injured in downtown Los Angeles
Authorities said one man was killed over the weekend and another was injured in a machete attack in downtown Los Angeles.
Police said the Los Angeles Police Department responded to reports of attacks near Eleventh Street and Avenue at 12:17 a.m. Monday.
According to LAPD, officers found two men, one in his 60s and the other in his 30s, causing the injury from a machete attack. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to bringing the victim to a local hospital.
The man, in his 60s, was pronounced dead due to injury, while the second man was in stable condition.
Police said police searched the area, arrested a male suspect and found a weapon. No further information has been released, including the identities of the victims and suspects.
