Police search for illegal Venezuelan immigrants in Nashville

Law enforcement officers are seeking public help in search of an illegal immigrant who is believed to have been involved in a serious crash in Nashville last month.
Detectives said Venezuela's 32-year-old Tony Lopez-Infante was wanted for a May 18 crash that seriously hurts Zach Carach, 21, Florida.
A spokesperson for Immigration and Customs Enforcement of the United States (ICE) confirmed to WZTV that Lopez-Infante entered the United States in August 2023.
The ICE also confirmed to Fox News Digital that Lopez-Infante was “illegal in the county and eventually removed from office.”

“MNPD detectives are working to find Tony Lopez-Infante, 32, of Venezuela, for getting an arrest warrant on May 18 at Church ST that was injured by Zach Carach, 21, of Florida, on Church St.
Police told the media that Karachi was celebrating his 21st birthday when he was hit by Lopez-Infante's car.
Rep. Andy Ogles of R-Tenn shared that his office received “an unsettling video of the crash that was said to have captured” and demanded justice from Carach.
“Zach Carach was allegedly hit by a vehicle driven by Tony Lopez, who then fled the scene. Lopez is an illegal alien with six excellent warrants. He appeared on Mount Juliet for the last time.”

Police said the vehicle involved in the collision was the Rage Building in Mitsubishi Hai City, returned by Lopez-Infante, with a damaged front end and returned to the rental facility in Mount Juliet on May 19.
“The next day, officials found the car there on May 20. The investigation led to Venezuela's Lopez-Infante being identified as the crash driver,” police said.

Law enforcement added that the ongoing efforts to locate Lopez-Infante were unsuccessful, noting that federal partners, including the Homeland Security Investigation, are assisting in the search.
Police said Lopez Seffent will be charged with leaving the scene of the personal injury accident, failing to provide assistance/investing an accident report, attempting to tamper with evidence and without permission/insurance, police said.
Officials noted that he was also wanted in Williamson County for “a warrant related to theft arrest.”
Carach's mom Sheena Carach shared her son's 16th day in the hospital with Fox News Digital and was fully in a wheelchair for the next two months and begging for answers about Lopez-Infante.
“I appeal to the American people to help us find TONY GEBIAN LOPEZ INFANTE (Tony Lopez), he hit our son on 5/18 in Nashville and fled… he fled the scene, packed his belongings, tried to bribe a mechanic to repair the car and then was picked up in a gold 05 Toyota Corolla, TN plates,” Sheena Carach wrote in post on her Facebook page.
