President Trump lashes out at court for blocking his deportation agenda

President Donald Trump spoke at the White House Tuesday night to deport “some very bad people” with his administration’s immigration agenda, saying “killers, murderers, drug dealers.”
The president touted his administration’s progress in closing borders and combating illegal immigration, saying: “It’s one of the great successes to be honest; hardly anyone in illegally.”
However, he noted that certain rulings against his deportation posed a threat to his efforts to ensure the country.
“I want us to get cooperation from the court because, you know, we have thousands of people ready to go out and you can't judge all of these people,” he said. “It doesn't mean the system means – we don't think there is anything to say.”

Since Trump returned to the Oval Office in January, his administration has faced hundreds of lawsuits against orders and actions, some of which have led to a nationwide ban.
The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear a case on May 15, with about three federal judges issuing a nationwide national injunction blocking Trump’s executive order to end the birthright citizenship of the children of illegal immigrants.
On March 15, U.S. District Court Judge James Boasberg temporarily ruled that it temporarily blocked the Trump administration's use of the Alien Enemy Act, deporting members of criminally illegal foreign gangs to El Salvador.
Trump said the court ruling slowed down his deportation agenda could lead to “very dangerous country.”

“We have thousands of people coming to Biden every month, and they come in from prison. They come from spiritual institutions. They come from Venezuela and other countries around the world, not just South America. They are not just South America. America,” he said.
“I won the election because we drove them out,” he continued. “We are throwing them out and the judge can say, 'No, you have to go through the trial'… The trial will take two years, and now, if we don't allow us to do what we have the right to do, we will have a very dangerous country.”
Trump also talked about the ongoing trade war between his administration and China, saying it depends on China's deal.
“End of the day, they have to reach an agreement because otherwise they won't be able to trade in the United States,” he said. “We want them to be involved, but they have to be involved, and other countries have to reach an agreement. If they don't, we'll have an agreement because we are the ones who make the agreement.”

The president said he expects any deal he ends up with, currently the 145% tariff on China will also be much lower, but noted that it “will not be zero.”
“We used to be zero. We were just destroyed. China took us for a ride, and that wouldn't happen.” “We will be very good to China, and I have a good relationship with Xi Jinping. But they will make billions, billions of dollars a year, and they will build their army from the United States with everything they do to prevent it from happening.”
“But they will do a good job,” he continued. “And I think they'll be happy and I think we'll be working together very happily and ideally. So, I think that'll work well.”
During the Q&A, Trump also rumored that he would fire Jerome Powell from the Fed's chairman due to differences in lowering interest rates.
