Prime Minister Danielle Smith greets world leaders arriving in Alberta

Alberta Prime Minister Danielle Smith will greet world leaders when he arrives at Calgary Airport for the G7 summit.

Leaders are expected to begin landing during a three-day event in the Cananasnis wilderness in southwestern Calgary.

Smith's office said she plans to host representatives from non-member countries at a reception in Calgary on Monday night and hold bilateral meetings throughout the summit.

Details of the meeting and who Smith will meet are not disclosed.

The Prime Minister has made international relations a hallmark of her government.

The Alberta Prime Minister visited U.S. President Donald Trump's Florida in January, before taking office, to avoid tariffs on Canadian goods.
