Hey, everyone! Have you ever seen the movie evil? We watched it at home last week. Very good! About 16 years ago we saw evil on the stage. I loved it then, not sure if the movie adaptation would be good. Fortunately, the movie version is great. You can tell everyone involved to put their heart into it. Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande are perfect for Elphaba (the evil witch of the West) and Glinda. They build a real friendship and have excellent chemistry on the screen. Performances, singing, music, costumes, stages, choreography and special effects are all amazing. If I knew it was good, I would watch it in the theater. Oh, well, it's fun to be at home too. Anyway, if you haven't watched the movie, check it out. It's a treat. However, you should first watch Oz's Primitive Wizard.

This movie is just the first half of the show. Finally, Elphaba flew around, presumably starting resistance movement. Glinda stayed to work for the wizard. The movie Resist gravitythe song of the program. The song is great on stage, but epic in the movie. Cynthia Erivo knows to be an outsider and go all out. She owns it. Ariana Grande is also very good. I'm not familiar with her job, so I have no prejudice. If you like the Wizard of Oz you must see two versions. This is a song. You can enjoy it while reading the rest of the posts.
Some people don't understand why Grinda did not start a rebellion with Alfaba. They are good friends. Grinda should be brave and more supportive. But I know she won't go. Glinda is a privileged and popular girl. She thrives in the system. She was never an outsider and didn't want to be a rebel. Why leave when everything is ready for you?
On the other hand, the system has discriminated against Elphaba since birth. It was an easy decision for her. She has been in conflict with her current life. Why work in a corrupt system that promotes hatred and fear? When she finally proves that she has real power, the person in charge just wants to use her. She knew they would stab her in the back when they no longer needed her.
Mrs. RB40 joins Elphaba team
OK, this is big news. Mrs. RB40 barely joined the Elphaba team. She adopted an early retirement plan instead of soldiers in a toxic work environment. Honestly, she is the Glinda type. She loves working in the system and thriving in a structured environment. If she was young, she might stick out instead of leaving. However, it took us many years to prepare for this situation. Unlike most colleagues, she can retire if she wants. That's why we live humbly and invest most of our income. She can make decisions without worrying about money. This is a reward.
Most of her colleagues had to be with the Glindas because they could not afford to retire. IMO, it's a tough role. We all went through these layoffs. Management will continue to reduce the workforce. The rest will have to work harder to make up for all those who have left. The boss and his relatives turn the office into a hostile work environment where they will intensify the antics. The faithful workers are considered bad people. This is all about publicity and standing by. They didn't even save that much money. Yet his scammers cheer for the reduced power. They don't understand that we'll pay for it later.
In any case, the last day of Mrs. RB40's work was last Friday. She will take the rest of her leave and then evaluate her choice later. Next year, she may try to find a new job, go to school or retire. We'll see how things are going.
