Satellite image shows North Korea's naval destroyer damaged in a failed launch

Satellite images captured what remains of the 5,000-ton North Korean Navy destroyer damaged at the launch ceremony this week, annoying the country's dictators.

A photo taken by Maxar Technologies in Qingjing Port shows the ship apparently twisted and lying on its side, partially placed on the launch panel, partially immersed in the water.

The secret communist state covered possible warships with blue tarpaulins.

Mexar Technologies also took photos of satellites before launch, which looked primitive in preparation for its first voyage.

However, during the launch, a flat vehicle guided the ship to fail to move, losing balance to the warship and crushing a portion of its bottom, and then its stern finally slipped the launch path into the water.

North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un reportedly was angry at the launch that was intended to show the country's military power but was embarrassed on the world stage.

State media also reported Kim Jong Il's anger.

He reportedly accused military officials, scientists and shipyard operators of “serious accidents and criminal acts caused by absolutely careless, irresponsible and unscientific empiricism.”

The extent of damage to the destroyer is not known, although Kim asked for maintenance to be completed before the Communist Party's working group meeting in June.

Known for his cruelty and confidentiality, the dictator ominously warned that at this meeting, errors caused by “irresponsibility of the officials concerned” would be investigated.

Under Kim Jong Il's rule, North Korea has been committed to establishing weapons for military weapons as a response to Western aggression.
