Socal Boy takes bullets to school; officials say dad is arrested

A Moore Park man was arrested after his son shared the bullet with his friend.
Ricardo Nunez was arrested Tuesday for allegedly endangering children and possessing unregistered weapons. The Ventura County Sheriff's Office said in a press release that the man's house had many guns and ammunition.
On Tuesday, K'lynn Jackson, an associate associate associate in the Moorpark Unified school district, responded to a report from the Campus Canyon College Preparatory School (K-8 Public School) that the student has a round of access that he has been showing to his friends.
Detectives were soon in touch with Nunez, according to the press release. Officials said they found two unregistered assault rifles, a pistol, ammunition and high-capacity magazines at their residence in Nunez and identified him as the owner.
Nunez was arrested and charged with criminal firearm storage, possession of assault weapons and endangering children, and other firearm-related charges.
In a press release, the Moorpark Police Department advises gun owners to comply with gun storage and safety standards.
“These incidents do not happen often, but reports of any weapon phone calls in the school are taken seriously. School safety and our teachers' safety are our number one task,” Jackson told the Times.
