Pepperdine's most funded company program has been in its 8th year, identifying startups with outstanding hope and investor-ready. Finalists are selected based on a rigorous assessment of financial forecasts, intellectual property, competitive advantage and management expertise.

Rhode Island Governor Dan McKee and Rhode Island Life Science Hub emission Ocean State LaboratoryAccording to the press release, the state’s first life science incubator to support and accelerate innovation companies’ growth in the life sciences field. The incubator will act as a hub for entrepreneurs, researchers and investors, providing the infrastructure and communities needed to transform breakthrough ideas into transformative solutions. Portal innovationis a risk development company specializing in the cultivation of early stage companies and will manage the Marine National Laboratory. The incubator is scheduled to open in Providence in partnership with Brown University next year and will offer 30,000 square feet of office and lab space and have up to 30 startups.

- PAX therapy, advancing gene delivery technology to optimize the healing of tendon and ligament injuries.
- XM therapy, develops tissue repair and regeneration platforms for chronic diseases.
