New York has no roof problems, it has roof memory problems. For every decent view, there are more than a dozen indistinguishable spaces under the Edison light bulb. The skyline is easy. Stay strong? few. The important roof now is not chasing wonders. They are mature bars and restaurants that happen to float above the streets – calibrate cocktails, dial the sound system, while furniture is more than just filling the space. Some Crown Hotels. Others hovered around Korean grills, glass-packed showrooms or billion-dollar gyms. They weren't made for drone videos; they were made for adults, they just wanted to stand out.
The intention of change occurred. Not only do these places pack people, but they also strive to build concepts completely: tasting menus, height menus, Amaro flights with context, bar program led by people who care about dilution rates and glass temperatures. The cliches are still there (you'll find rooftop DJs and sculpture ice), but an increasingly large number of accomplices are moving beyond the obvious, which is for pauses rather than photos. This internally approved list does not track trendlines. It filters out those places that make the fundamentals correct and the details better. Because when the weather hits, the mood is dialed in and you want a cup of height and a practical attitude.
