The collapse of the glacier partially destroyed the Swiss village, and one person disappeared

Authorities said most of the glaciers in the Swiss Alps broke down on Wednesday afternoon, causing ice, mud and rock to flood a portion of the mountain villages evacuated earlier this month, due to the risk of rock landslides.
Matthias Ebener, spokesman for the local authorities in Valais State, said it is currently missing.
Drone footage broadcast by Swiss National Broadcasting Corporation SRF shows a huge tract of soil and soil that completely covers part of the village of Braten, the river crosses its river and the wooded sides of the surrounding valley.
“The incredible material was sensational into the valley,” Ebina said.
The rubble of broken wooden buildings can be seen on the side of the huge earth block in the drone lens.
Ebener said Braten's buildings and infrastructure were evacuated from the rocky landslide on May 19 after geologists identified the risks of imminent rock and ice avalanches.
Houses were destroyed in the loetchental valley in southern Switzerland, SRF said.
Swiss authorities have been monitoring the hillside above Blatten since ordering residents to leave their homes.
A video shared widely on social media shows a dramatic moment of partial collapse of the glacier, creating a huge cloud that covers part of the mountain as rocks and debris pour into the suburbs of the village.
