Local police in South African countries have not yet issued a statement after Menon's death.
Menon is a ticket inspector representing Singapore at the senior level and is the operations manager of Cricket Malawi.
Dr. Henry Kamata, CEO of the multinational, said Menon’s contribution to the sport was “huge and far-reaching” and he played a “critical role” in the growth and success of the country.
“We strongly condemn this ruthless violence and urge law enforcement authorities to pursue all leadership to ensure that those in charge are brought to justice quickly,” Dr. Kamata added in a statement posted on social media.
