Trump says he will reduce prescription drug prices by 30-80%

President Donald Trump announced he plans to sign an executive order on Monday that would reduce the cost of prescription drugs and medicines “almost immediately 30% to 80%.”
Trump made the announcement on “Social Social on Truth”.
“For years, the world has been wondering why prescription drugs and drugs in U.S. states are much more expensive than other countries, sometimes five to ten times higher than the same drug (the same drug made by the same company) made in the same lab or factory, is the same company? Trump wrote. “It’s always hard to explain and very awkward because there is actually no right or correct answer.”

The president continues.
“We will do the right thing, and Democrats have been fighting for many years,” Trump added. “So, I'm happy to announce that tomorrow morning, at the White House, at 9:00 a.m., I will sign one of the most important executive orders in the history of our country. Prescription drugs and medicine prices will be reduced by 30% to 80% almost immediately.
Trump noted that the cost of drugs will rise globally, but for the first time in years, it will “bring fairness to the United States!”

“I will have a most popular national policy in which the United States will pay the same price as the lowest price in the world,” Trump said. “Our country will eventually be treated fairly and our citizens' health care costs will be reduced by numbers that have never been thought of before. Also, outside of everything else, the United States will save trillions of dollars.”
