President Donald Trump said on Sunday that other countries suggested they want to join the Abraham Agreement, as the recent Middle East restructuring allowed Israel and the United States to curb Iran's nuclear ambitions during the creation of a “12-day war.”
“We have some really good countries out there right now, and I think we’re going to start loading them because Iran is the main issue…” the president told Maria Bartiromo in an exclusive “Early Sunday Futures” interview this week.
He continued: “We have a while, and I think Iran will join the Abraham agreement with everyone else and frankly, they will be in better shape than they are now.”

The Abraham Agreement attempts to normalize relations between Israel, Sunni Gulf countries and North African countries, signed at the White House during the first Trump administration in September 2020.
U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff said last Wednesday that expanding the agreement is one of the president's “key goals” and predicts that the administration will soon issue some “big announcements” for the countries it has agreed to.
Last week, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt appointed Syria as one of the nations the president is eager to join, noting a historic meeting in Saudi Arabia earlier this year.
“When the president meets with Syria's new president, it was one of his requests to sign the Abraham Agreement,” Levitt said.

Trump responded to the prospect of Syria's entry on Sunday.

“Iran's humiliation, Lebanon and Syria are very realistic, but it will impress me if it's soon,” Eugene Kontorovich, a senior fellow at the Heritage Foundation in Washington, D.C., told Fox News Digital recently.
He added: “Syria may be able to gain a lot of benefits simply because the new government seeks legitimacy.”
