In a fascinating interview with Fox Nation host Abby Hornacek, Frank Siller, chairman and CEO of Tunnel to Towner to Towers Foundation, shared his firm commitment to eradicating veteran homelessness in the United States. “In America, it's unacceptable to have a homeless veteran on the streets…we have to do that,” Siller enthusiastically declared.
Recognizing the huge scale of the problem (an estimated 35,000 to 50,000 homeless veterans) Over the past two years, Tounnel of the Tower has taken more than 10,000 veterans off the streets. The foundation adopts a national case management program, working with more than a thousand local nonprofit organizations (HUDs) and VAs to provide housing, financial assistance and important comprehensive support, including mental health services.
Ciller highlighted the enormous debt to veterans who “go out all out” for national security, especially after 9/11. In addition to personal placement, the foundation has established “Veteran Villages” nationwide, converting donated land and hotels into beautiful, stately apartments and providing on-site support services to reintegrate into society.
Siller is working on 19 such projects, with a goal of more than 300, echoing President Donald Trump’s commitment to end veteran homeless people. He urged viewers to donate $11 a month at t2t.org, emphasizing that their contributions would make a “huge difference” in support of this important mission.
