Ukraine was bombed by Russian missiles and drones again and was killed in Kyiv 4

Mayor Vitali Klitschko said Friday that night missile and drone attacks on Ukraine killed at least four people in Kiev and injured 20 people in Kiev, and Russia occupied at least six areas of its largest joint attack on the Three Years’ War.

Ukrainian Air Force spokesman Yurii Ihnat said the barrage includes ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as strike drones and baits. Ukrainian forces said they shot down about 30 cruise missiles and up to 200 drones.

Ukrainian cities have been bombed since invading their neighbors in February 2022. According to the United Nations, the attack has killed more than 12,000 civilians.

Even with the diplomatic push of US-led reconciliation, the war has not diminished, which has led to two direct rounds of peace talks between the delegations of Russia and Ukraine. Negotiations did not bring about major breakthroughs, and both sides remained far away under the conditions of ending the battle.

Ukraine has provided an unconditional 30-day ceasefire and held a meeting between Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian leader Vladimir Putin to break the deadlock. But the Kremlin effectively rejected the truce and did not stand out from its demands.

More retaliation is expected on Sunday

Putin said in a call with U.S. President Donald Trump earlier this week that he would respond to Ukraine’s bold long-term attack on Russian air bases on Sunday.

Hours after the night attack, Trump said it would be better to let Ukraine and Russia “fight for a while” and then pull them away and pursue peace, a rhetoric that Trump often states calling for a stop to war.
