According to the airline, an United Airlines flew from Hawaii to Los Angeles after a “potential safety issue” was discovered in the airline's bathroom.

United Airlines 1169 departs from Daniel K. Inoi International Airport in Honolulu around Hawaiian Standard Time. However, according to Flightaware data, the plane tracked data, and about an hour and a half later, the plane returned to Honolulu Airport.

Police searched the Boeing 777 aircraft, which had about 339 passengers and 10 crew members after the plane landed, according to an airline spokesman. The representative declined to disclose what was found on the plane (if any).

The Federal Aviation Administration did not respond to a request for comment.

Now, after the plane returns to Hawaii, they are waiting on the apron for about four hours, while law enforcement and dogs screen each passenger, a traveler told Hawaii News.

“Later, I went through the airport security manager and found someone wrote it on the bathroom mirror and there was a bomb on the plane,” passenger Kouhei Massey told The Outlet.

A United Airlines spokesman told the Times that the airline was “another customer who left Los Angeles later tonight,” he said.
