Vancouver drivers to participate in crowd farming at Philippine Festival, killing multiple victims

Local authorities say a driver crashed into a crowd on Saturday night at the Philippine Festival in Vancouver, Canada, killing several victims and injuring other injured people.

The Vancouver Police Department said in a social media post that the incident occurred after 8 p.m. at the Lapu Lapu Day Block party.

“After a driver drove into the crowd at the street festival of E. 41st Avenue and Fraser, many were killed and others were injured,” police said.

The exact number of deaths or injuries has not been immediately known.

Police said the driver was detained. It is not clear what the motives of those driving into the crowds are.
