Vancouver drivers to participate in crowd farming at Philippine Festival, killing multiple victims

Local authorities say a driver crashed into a crowd on Saturday night at the Philippine Festival in Vancouver, Canada, killing several victims and injuring other injured people.

Police said the suspect was a 30-year-old man from Vancouver and was arrested at the scene.

The Vancouver Police Department said in a social media post that the incident occurred after 8 p.m. at the Lapu Lapu Day Block party.

“Many people were killed and others were injured after driving into the crowd during street festivals,” police said.

Vancouver police were at the scene after an SUV leaned toward a group of people at the Philippine Festival.

“About 8:14 pm on April 26, a man drove into a group of people participating in the Lapu Lapu Day Festival at East 43rd Avenue and Fraser Street,” the department said.

The exact number of deaths or injuries has not been immediately known.
