Violence in southern Los Angeles leaves one person dead and two others injured

Three people were shot dead in the same area of ​​South Los Angeles over the weekend, one of which was fatal.

A Los Angeles Police Department spokesman said the shooting was under investigation, but it cannot be said whether the incident occurred within a mile of the green grass area was related to it. Neither the city police department nor the county medical examiner’s office will identify the victim.

According to LAPD official Tony Im, officers responded to the 700 block of East 108th Street around 7:30 p.m. Friday and found a teenage girl shot to death.

Investigators told ABC7 that the girl (listed as 13 by police) was shot to death in the head of her home.

Police had no latest news about her condition on Sunday. ABC7 has previously reported that she is in a “critical but stable” state.

A day later, a woman was found in the 10200 block of South San Pedro Street. The woman, described as about 31 years old, was pronounced dead in the hospital, Im said.

A small sidewalk vigil was set up on site Sunday night, including candles. A small group of people gathered at a nearby corner shop.

Another person was shot Sunday morning, this time in the 103rd Street and Avalon Avenue areas, according to police.

Authorities said that two men were reportedly pulling up with a third person while sitting in a blue truck, sitting in his car and opening fire.

LAPD official Norma Eisenman said the third shooting victim was taken to the hospital.
