Kyren Lacy's death: Sports world reacts to the death of former LSU star

The death of former Louisiana State receiver Kyren Lacy caused a shock wave in the football world on Sunday, with several NFL players and other athletes expressing condolences.

LSU officials confirmed to Fox News Digital that LACY was found dead in Houston. The cause of death has not been announced. Lasi is 24.

“We are regrettably informed of the tragic past of former LSU football student-athlete Kyren Lacy,” LSU said in a statement to Fox News Digital. “Our thoughts and prayers with his family and loved ones, as well as his former teammates and coaches, were affected by his death.”

Several athletes reacted to Lacy's death on X.

The broad receiver, who graduated in December, may be the choice for the upcoming NFL draft, conducted an investigation in Louisiana, and the official died in a December crash, officials said.

He was charged with reckless driving – speeding and driving in a pass-free area when the driver turned to avoid lace and crashed into another vehicle.

Louisiana State Police said he fled the scene of the crash. Lacy was awarded a warrant for negligent homicide, felony crashes and reckless vehicles.

A grand jury will hear evidence from the case on Monday, according to reports.
