Weinstein Accuser told jury allegedly sexual assault: “It happened unthinkable”

Warning: This article may affect those who have experienced sexual violence or know someone affected.

“No, no, this isn't going to happen,” a former TV production assistant told the jury Wednesday.

Miriam Haley waved her eyes and recalled what she ran into her mind during the July 2006 attack: “It happened unthinkable, I just thought anything unthinkable could happen. I just didn't know where it ended.”

Weinstein sat between his lawyers and shook his head as he spoke.

Haley also left under the name Mimi Haleyi, the first accuser of former Hollywood Honcho, who testified during the retrial of the rape. This happened because the Supreme Court in New York overturned Weinstein's 2020 conviction.

The 73-year-old former studio owner pleaded not guilty and denied sexual assault on anyone.

Haley testified in the initial trial, and frankly said last year that she had different opinions on repetitive experiences.

Weinstein's attorney has yet to have a chance to question her and may try to poke in her account. But the defense has been keenly seeking (even if often failing) to curb Hailey’s range of testimony against prosecutors’ questions, such as multiple inquiries about whether she has any sexual interest in Weinstein. Hayley said she didn't.

The defense believes that all of Weinstein's accusers agreed to have sex with him, hoping to work in the performance business.

Weinstein faces new and old fees

Haley began her testimony on Tuesday describing how she met Weinstein Project runway In June 2006, he had a series of interactions, sometimes inappropriate, illuminating, but sometimes professional and polite.

Two months before she said he attacked her in a Manhattan apartment, Hayley said she went to Weinstein’s hotel room to talk about potential jobs in the film and television business.

“He quickly started talking about other things,” she told the jurors on Tuesday.

Hailey said he commented on her legs and suggested they massage each other. She rejected his progress and said she immediately cried after leaving.

“I was surprised. I was humiliated,” she testified. “It was a sunken feeling, and he didn't take me seriously at all.”

Haley says that throughout the encounter, she was just looking for professional opportunities (not sexual or romantic) Shakespeare in love and New York Gang.

Weinstein's retrial includes allegations based on Haley's charges and the original trial, Jessica Mann, who was once an aspiring actor. She claimed Weinstein raped her in 2013.

He was also accused of forcing oral sex on former model Kaja Sokola in 2006. Her claim is not part of the first trial.

Mann and Sokora are also expected to testify at some point.

The Associated Press usually doesn’t name people who claim they have been sexually assaulted unless they allow the use of their names. Hayley, Mann and Sokola did this.
