Israeli-Iran continues to conduct missile strikes on the second day of conflict

On the second day of the open conflict, tensions between Israel and Iran remain high with no signs of downgrading.

According to the Israeli military, missiles and drones launched by the country in the early hours of Saturday were attacked by Iranian launches.

Israel Times reported that at least three people were killed in Israel, dozens of people were injured, some serious due to the latest Iranian missile strike.

The Iranian attack is believed to be retaliation against a massive Israeli strike earlier on Thursday targeting the country's nuclear ruins and military leaders.

Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations Amir Saeid Iravani said the Israeli movement killed at least 78 people, including senior military officials, more than 320 of them – most civilians, including women and children – said Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations Amir Saeid Iravani.

Iran: Drone hits near the border

According to state media reports, Iranian troops reportedly shot down drones near their northwestern border.

State TV reported on Saturday that the incident occurred near the border with Azerbaijan and Turkey. The claim has not been independently verified.

Overnight, several Iranian cities were heavily bombarded. According to local media and witnesses, hours of explosions and ongoing air defense fires were heard in central and northeastern Tehran.

Explosions near Tel Aviv

An Israeli military spokesperson said most of the Iranian missiles launched overnight were intercepted. Unconfirmed reports show that the U.S. military is assisting Israel in missile defense operations.

Despite intercepts, missile debris caused damage in central Israel, including the Tel Aviv region, where several buildings were severely affected.

On Saturday morning, the Israeli military reported another drone attack by Iran, triggering fresh air strike sirens and defensive reactions.

Israel said it will continue to target Iranian positions.
