The United States issues fresh Iran-related sanctions, Treasury District says – Country

The U.S. issued new sanctions related to Iran on Thursday targeting one person and several entities, including a Chinese “tea pot” refinery, to purchase and process Iranian crude oil, according to the U.S. Treasury Department website.
This is the fourth round of sanctions on Iranian oil sales since President Donald Trump said in February that he is reinforcing “maximum pressure” campaign, including lowering exports to zero. Trump's goal is to prevent Tehran from obtaining nuclear weapons and funding militant groups.
