Will the MA (HT) GA crowd be proud of themselves? – Healthcare Blog

I've been trying to curb this line of thinking, but when I wake up late at night, the piece basically forms my mind and I can't write it down. Yes, I might lose some friends, but people with health technology must say that.
Last week, a bunch of health technology companies, providers, programs and others went to the White House for an event called “Make American health technology great again.” Principal organizer Amy Gleason is someone I think is a friend of the industry. No one would doubt her certificates she wants to help patients, especially given her daughter Morgan’s medical condition and her poor experience in the health system. These initiatives articulate these initiatives—although they are voluntary and are based on actions and regulations already in the book, net income for health care in the United States will be net income for patients.
Now, anyway, almost everything suggested is happening. As anyone knows, it is much easier to get health data and run AI than in 2020, and it is much easier to get health data in 2020 than in 2016. Yes, of course, it should be better and easier than it is currently available. Yes, it should happen faster. Yes, the large provider system and its major EMR Epic are not completely bent to make data access more convenient and facilitate patients and innovators. Yes, of course there are too many requirements to “send us a fax”. Last week, I personally had fun at a UCSF-affiliated hospital, spoke to 5 people, and ended up emailing and Fax them for them to make an appointment. I'm pretty sure I'll do the same in 2028.

But, none of this is what bothers me. Disturbingly, the normalization of the people allegedly responsible for the national health and wellness technology and the calming and even knee flexion of those who attended the event last week.
Now I'm not there, even with a few industry friends and clients. I've participated in several similar events in the Obama administration, but what we've seen from the Trump administration is a radical and toxic departure from the U.S. leadership in health and democracy, which is unacceptable.
This is encapsulated by people on DIAS and the actions they have taken.
Trump and his administration have committed so many serious authoritarian acts that there is no way to list all of them. Just because people voted for him, sterilization of Congress and the judiciary did not eliminate his deep breath of rape and It was found alone lying in the civil court; convicted of 34 felony, which basically tampered with the 2016 election; and impeached twice – politicizing the U.S. foreign policy and once began a violent coup. Don't forget that in the 2024 election, he was taking another deep breath to steal (presumably for sale) state secret breath. He was sued for tampering with the vote in Georgia; and was prosecuted for planning a coup on January 6. It is worth noting that two countries with recent experience in dictatorship (South Korea and Brazil) have been prosecuted and banned in offices where they attempted to commit similar crimes there. (By the way, I highly recommend you watch I'm still hereIt's an Oscar story about a family's father being “disappeared” under the military dictatorship of the 1970s.
Since he returned to office, Trump has overseen the greatest direct political corruption in the country ever–you can bribe him directly through his members. He also oversaw the transformation of the Gestapo that turned ice into American style. Now, masked unidentified ice sheet agents are snatching people, including citizens and legal immigrants, along the streets, burying them in concentration camps abroad. Don't forget that many immigrants or first-generation immigrants were leading for those health technology companies at last week's meeting, not to mention how many poor people, perhaps undocumented immigrants are working in our health care system.
I haven't even mentioned that the Medicaid program is coming, which will be the result of Trump's “a large bill bill.” This will certainly have a terrible impact on patients and most of the health systems, including many health technology companies that try to support Medicaid patients.
I didn't even mention Epstein! and this Is this guy’s American healthcare community just applauding politely for reading a speech about interoperability?
And it's more than that.
Don't forget that RFK JR is a Democrat who, as “independence” whose support was purchased by Trump, assured him of HHS jobs. Who knows? That could be enough to make the Trump election swing.
Kennedy's denial of science has been long and continues to this day. Just last week, he was vomiting falsehoods about a large-scale study in Denmark that the vaccine had nothing to do with autism. He removed a panel of experts and suggested that the country’s recommendations on vaccines be replaced by partners who misunderstood and have no expertise on the topic. I would forgive his heroin addiction, his brain worms, strange wildlife disposal and planned eating habits. I will not forgive him for giving up science and doing wholesale damage to the U.S. health management infrastructure in the most brutal way.
People who took selfies with him at last week’s event should also consider it.
Dr. Oz was once a well-known surgeon. Along the way, he forgot about any scientific training he had received and became a liar. Basically, he was kicked out by Colombia for his anti-scientific stance and was padded over coal by a congressional committee because he wore and promoted useless supplements. My favorite moment was his (thankfully) 2022 Pennsylvania Senate campaign (he said abortion should be a decision between a woman, her doctor and local politician).
Trump offered Oz a job as a CMS because Oz sucks and Trump saw him on TV. Oz has links with many digital health companies, especially ShareCare, which is more or less still open and was at last week's meeting. But, given his total lack of credibility, why do other American health technology communities want to contact him?
Dais' last two were Amy Gleason and David Sacks. It is worth noting that both sacks were promoted to “Crypto Tsar” from his time on the Sili Valley Bros “All In” podcast, and Gleason was introduced as Doge's performance leader. (Gleason (Saks) of rfk jr and oz). Who knows? Maybe they are both in charge of Doge?
Gleason certainly has a very close relationship with the baby-facing assassin Brad Smith, who is largely responsible for the thoughtless blood bath and naked cuts of HHS to cause NIH grants within the NIH. She worked directly with Smith at Russell Street Ventures, a Bill Frist-funded company that created and sold Carebridge for $2.7 billion. What exactly her role is still unclear, but she is certainly the head of digital services in the United States and was appointed acting director of court in early March. Meanwhile, besides the wanton destruction of NIH (continue), the Governor caused great damage while Musk, Smith and others were riding near DC. (You can see Smith discussing it in March 2025 with Musk & his Core Doge Team's 13.26).
Of course, Doge is also responsible for destroying the United States Agency for International Development in the early days of this administration. This has led to death among the poorest and most powerless people in the world. A study in the Lancet predicts that the demise of the United States Agency for International Development will kill 14 million people, including by 2030 to 2030. Of course, there is little evidence that Doch actually saved any money, wasted more than $20 billion in waste, and in the grand scheme of things, the deficit caused by “a big and good bill” related to the future has increased.
Again, it is not clear if there is anything about sack and Gleason about it, but obviously nothing is involved! Are the supporters of these actions the ones you want to tell your kids to take selfies?
Obviously it is not easy to deal with this government. Large media companies like Paramount are bent over. Law firms are piled up, with adverse consequences on the independence of bar associations and judiciary. Leading universities are paying back their repayments in a bid to get federal funds flowing again. Big Tech is all in progress. Even Kaiser Permanente believes it is easier to end the care of adolescents based on science-based gender affirmation than spitting with HHS. (Same goes for Children's Hospital in Los Angeles and Stanford Medicine).
Of course, there are a lot of very unpleasant people who like what is happening in the United States right now. Private prison companies like Geo Group and Corecivic have been celebrating construction concentration camps all the way to the bank. And a Miami couple bribe Contributed $1.9 million to the Florida government's DeSantis and his wife Run CDR Maguire and its affiliate CDR Health, which established the “Alligator Alcatraz” and “treat” the health problems of thousands of detainees. Mussolini et al., many companies and industrialists have gained wealth from Franco.
But for health technology companies and health system leaders last week, there is a simple option. No one said they had to stand on the barricades, shouting every move of the Trump administration, breaking the constitution and turning the United States toward authoritarian rule. But they can quietly sign an interoperability commitment, advocate for the right things, and act in the right way without providing air cover to bad behavior governments and undermining the freedoms of the country, as serious as this behavior. Will their children be proud of themselves when they ask what they do during the Trump administration?
